As promised from my previous post Lights, Camera, My Love for watching movies.
Here’s the list of mind-melting movies that you probably won’t give a fuck about. But don’t worry the list is still gonna be here. Regardless of what you think. But before we begin, What is a mind-melting movie? or what do I mean by it?
It is a brainfuck of thoughts, scenes, images loosely stitched together with elegance, patience, and beauty for an ordinary observer like us to unravel, discover, applaud as you peel away each layer-like scene from that onion like film until you reach its core, the climax. Where it all boils down to something you never could have expected, something that is so naive yet unthinkable that your mind is thinking at about 10-15 WTF’s per minute. These kinds of movies crave for your attention, for your time almost begging you to watch them and wouldn’t let you out of their grip.
And honestly, I love those kinds of movies. I want movies to be a fast-paced thriller that stands apart from the normal shit we are used to watching in Bollywood. - Gone Girl
- Vanilla Sky
- The Departed
And seriously tons more… These movies might fall in the thriller genre. Maybe I am just renaming what I think of a genre. Who gives a fuck right?
