Vipul, a 20-something sophomore student was on his first international trip to Boston. He checks into a hostel in the city after a grueling 24-hour hackathon. He looks up at the reception and there is a quote embossed in big letters. This quote changes his purpose behind traveling. It said: "Be a traveler, rather than a tourist. " Let's goto X is my new series on Mixster in an attempt to enable people to do just that. Who is a traveler? There are definitions and there are debates around this topic. But, here's my take. A traveler "lives" in new places for a period of time. During their stay, they go beyond the conventional activities performed by groups of people. Interacting with citizens, learning the language, and understanding the social-culture fabric that binds communities together with unspoken rules. Covering every special point in an area holds less interest for them and they are driven by the simple rewards of meeting people, learning new skills, and building relations. "Difference between" tourist & traveler. Source. Before this, I traveled for the sake of traveling. But since then, I have tried to build my life around it. Professionally, I work remotely with a side benefit: I can work from anywhere in the world. Financially, I find myself checking out trips more frequently than mutual funds. Personally, I make friends easily and travel solo. I woke up this Sunday morning with the need for coffee, and the will to write this blog that has been going around my head for quite some time. With this blog, I am starting Mixster's new Macro Mind series. This series will go on to become an extensive documentation of my mental processes which are actually worth presenting on HTML web pages just like the one you are reading now. Few months back, I wrote this piece called 4 months of full-time remote: Hits, Misses and Infectious Initiative to share my experience of working at my new endeavour among other things that I already do. Since the world is transitioning to remote around me. This blog was a way for folks to understand the first couple of months of remote and how they can sail through them as a fresher. It usually has lot of room for mistakes people, hence the blog was called "hits and misses". Folks learn through my misses & make hits of their own. Nonetheless, what was unique about this blog was, I started this thought process at the very beginning that I couldn't quite finish or conclude till the end. A recent meeting with a friend retriggered those thinking neurons and motivated me to give it its own blog post. So here goes nothing, folks. If there is something called async, then is there sync as well? Does this all seem a bit too overbearing for you? It sure did for me when started to learn Javascript. I blinded myself to not think these topics through and that wasn't very constructive. Let's not fight this. Let's clear the slate and clear the mind to understand these concepts. Frantic blog reading and trying out different Stackoverflow solutions wouldn't help you this time. Let's take this one step at a time and understand Javascript's asynchronous nature. What better service to do that than Microsoft OneDrive? Microsoft OneDrive is a file hosting service and synchronization service operated by Microsoft as part of its web version of Office. The official OneDrive client is available for Windows only. And, that ain't fair. Why should we be using the blue screen of death in the first place to access all our files or folders. Mind you, it is stolen property—I finagled it from my father when I was exactly 6 years old and wildly impatient to obtain a cape-like attire. You see, it was imperative for me and my playmates to have a superhero costume handy that evening in case it rained and confined us indoors, which it did. Thus, the thievery. Years later, the shirt has lost its association to colorful tales of faux heroism and has become somewhat of a curio, only better: it is wearable, warm and immeasurably comforting. I might now associate it with home, or just homeyness, and on some days it is not even home that I miss, but a sense of belonging that I constantly find lacking in recent times—the past year, to be precise—making me feel adrift and lonely. It is not unique, nor is it novel; most people have this 'loneliness' complaint nowadays. The scale of this affliction is scary, and its direct relationship with the number of people alive today, confounding. But everyone finds their own coping mechanism, I think. Well, as far as the flow goes CerberusValidator works with schemas that are in Mapping structure. Basically any dicts with values as dict having types of values. If you don’t get it, then check this out https://docs. python-cerberus. org/en/stable/ But, Cerberus only cares for the schema and data which it's getting from the user. Not from where it gets it. Almost most of our users will be giving the schema in the form either URL or paths to files. Which is fine by us until the point somewhere in week 12 where I forgot to code that properly into the code. Nothing to be afraid had to redo some old functions. Actually improved a lot of old code in the process. How time flies by. Damn. Not much is left to be done, except write a few more tests and a lot of testing. And merging it to master.
